It's always challenging to take an existing visual language and apply it to a new piece with a new purpose. Textbooks are meant to convey complex information to students clearly so that they can learn; covers and marketing brochures need to be a bit flashier as they try to attract interest. I enjoy finding places to add creativity while staying within corporate guidelines or a text's existing design.
